Balintawak Challenge

Two days ago I purchased Grandmaster Bobby Taboada's Balintawak Eskrima Cuentada System levels 1-6 on his website for $200USD. The price is far cheaper than what it's worth in my opinion so you will definitely get value for money. The only thing missing is training in person or with a partner unless you can find someone who would be interested. This year I've decided to challenge myself to complete all 6 levels recording my progress as I go along. I had joined a couple of online sessions with Tom Saysithideth's Kapatiran Mandirigma NoVA group who are based in America and really liked that the teaching methods weren't too far removed from what I was used to and what I prefer. Unfortunately my time schedule conflicts with a lot of the group classes so having this system available online was a relief.

GM Taboada has recorded himself teaching 6 levels of Balintawak covering the following:

Level 1

12 Basic Strikes in Control

12 Basic Strikes No Control

Basic Blocks Side to Side 1, 2, 3
