Queen Tuambaloca

Queen Tuambaloca of Jolo fought against invaders in Moro and Sulu alongside Rajah Bongso and 4,000 warriors in 1638.

An account from 1649-50 during the period of insurrection states "The queen of Joló, Tuambaloca, wrote at the same time, asking permission to come to end her days in the island of Basilan, and all was so secure from war that she remained as arbiter of peace for all the islands of Samboangan; and, as such, even the governor of Manila availed himself of her power in order to pacify the disturbances in the islands...."
